Our trip to Peru gave us a glimpse of ancient civilizations. Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas, is thought to be an important religious ceremonial center. The Temple of the Sun, The Temple of the Three Windows, the House of the High Priest are examples of their fine stone work. The Indtihuatana, the hitching post of the sun, used by the sons of the sun, the Incas, to tell the time of the year and predict the solstices using the angle of this rock pillar. |
