Our trip to Turkey was more than expected, amazingly diverse, bridges Asia to the east, the Dardanelles and the Bosphorous waterways, the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas ,the Tigris and Euphartes rivers where civilization began. Developing still, ancient and modern.

"NURTEN A", a gulet, locally built of teak and oak for Captain Kadir Turhan ( who related that he even knew the trees the wood came from.) A traditional Turkish motorized sailing vessel.

A five day cruise along the Mediterranean coast aboard Nurten A. The ideal way to see Turkey. We had time for swimming in Ekincik Bay, then spent the night in one of Gemile Island's quiet coves. The winds were right to make the passage to the Yassica Islands under sail.

Betty at the Helm of the 100ft. Gaft rigged schooner,"NURTEN A" A most enjoyable way to see and visit the cities and massive ruins that line Turkey's coasts.

GUNAYDIN

A most enjoyable day!

This awesome theater, Hellenistic and Roman ruins (161-180 AD) offered the unique experience to hear the ANTALYA STATE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA with soloist Gheorge Zamfir, "Pan Flute".
